Giants of ABQ
You know that tired old saw about how everything’s bigger in the West? It seems to be true when it comes to signage here, from my observations driving around this fair city. So I offer you this first entry in the new subgenre of the “Things to Love About Albuquerque” feature. This is my all-time favorite sign EVER–Paul Bunyan’s May Cafe. Every time I drive by this sign, on the southwest corner of Central and Louisiana overlooking KFC, I have to laugh out loud–if only for wondering how Paul is going to eat his noodles with an ax. Fer sure, North meets East here in the Southwest.
