Thursday Prairie Dog Blogging

I suppose this doesn’t exactly count as wildlife photography, since what has been tastefully edited out of the background of these photos is a Sonic Drive-In. Yep, smack-dab on Cerrillos Road in Santa Fe, these little critters scamper around the parking lot begging french fries all day long (the one in the bottom photo is enjoying a Tater Tot), but despite their apparent comfort around humans, they were surprisingly cagey about being photographed out of their holes. I have more photos, but I think I’ll save some for next Thursday.
